Absent Kelly Presents:
Gecko Club + Frankie Forman, Mark Shepherd Music
Live at Borderline, Soho
Promoters Absent Kelly return to Soho’s famous Borderline with a bill of some of their favourite emerging artists around right now.
Topping the evening’s bill is Gecko Club. Following a sold out show at Islington’s O2 Academy, this fledgling band are looking to cement themselves on the London underground circuit. The band was formed by frontman James Neilson, who was recently crowned champion of the ‘Open Mic UK’ competition, earning him a slot playing at Birmingham’s huge NEC, press coverage and BBC Radio airplay! Now he’s looking to build on this success with Gecko Club, and we predict big things are on the horizon for them!
Providing support is London based Frankie Forman. This talented singer-songwriter will be bringing her brand of moody blues to the stage, a sound which has already bagged her slots at famous venues, including Bush Hall. She’ll be launching her new album at this show, so come and help her celebrate, and catch some of the new material live!
Opening the show is indie/folk singer-songwriter Mark Shepherd. Having honed his craft, bagging slots at festivals and radio airplay, Mark’s distinctive sound has seen him perform both sides of the Atlantic.
